At AAA, we offer customized shipment packing on all materials in order to ensure the protection and integrity of all our shipments whether they ship by air, ground, or sea.
Export Boxing and PVC Lamination are also available for durable extra protection of parts being shipped. Also, we guarantee that all of our Export Boxes comply with each country’s specific requirements and regulations, allowing us to ship to any desired destination with ease.
What is Export Boxing?
Simply put, export boxing is the preparation of goods for international shipping. Unlike most domestic shipping, the rigors, and requirements of shipping our orders overseas means an additional measure of packing, or boxing, is needed.
How robust the boxing required might be depends on the type of product, the mode of transportation, and the facilities at the point of shipment and the destination port or airport. In addition, various countries have their own stipulations.
For example, order shipments made by ocean-going vessels typically require extensive packing and moisture protection due to the longer transit time, exposure to humid environments, and because they are often handled and re-handled more frequently than with other transport modes. And, while containerization can often reduce the need for crating, there is still the need for sturdy packing to hold up to container loading.
Shipments by air need less robust export packing than container vessel shipments as their transit times are much shorter and these shipments are usually of a much lighter weight. Nonetheless, because changes in temperature and altitude may cause condensation, secure and effective moisture protection is often required.
What is PVC Lamination?
AAA Air Support’s shipping practices include applying PVC lamination to sheet metal parts to protect against scratching, small dents, and reduce exposure of the metal surface.
And why PVC?
According to one industry source,
“PVC plastic, or polyvinyl chloride, is a rigid plastic designed to withstand harsh impacts and extreme temperatures. The material is most commonly used when creating cables, roofing materials, commercial signage, flooring, faux leather clothing, pipes, hoses and more.”
In addition, PVC is extremely durable and lightweight, as well as possessing a high chlorine content which makes it fire-resistant.
